Dimethyldisulphide
Formula: C2H6S2.
Appearance: a clear liquid of light yellow color, with an unpleasant odor, soluble in alcohol and ether, and does not dissolve in water. Application: DMDS is used as a sulfagent for the activation of catalysts, and also as an inhibitor of coke formation in coils of pyrolysis furnaces. Storage: Store in a closed, dry, ventilated place.
Shelf life: 1 year from the date of manufacture.
